Created for aspiring financial managers, Aston University’s distance learning MSc Management & Finance programme goes beyond calculating revenue and losses. Curriculum
You will complete 120 credit hours of modules and 60 credit hours of dissertation. A sample of modules is listed below.
Accounting for Non-Financial Managers (15 credits)
The module aims to enable students to understand and interpret a range of financial statements and other financial information used by organisational stakeholders to aid decision making in relation to the allocation of capital.
Effective Management Consultancy (15 credits)
This module will help you to understand different approaches to consulting projects. You will explore what is good and what is bad consulting practice. It will also prepare you to carry out successful consulting projects within organisations, either as an external consultant or as a line manager given a one-off problem-solving task.
Global Business Ethics (15 credits)
The overall aim of this module is to provide participants with the critical knowledge and skills to successfully identify and navigate global business ethics issues.
Strategic Management (15 credits)
This module is an introduction to the main concepts and thought processes in strategic management and enables you to analyse complex situations and make appropriate strategic recommendations.
