Recent reports indicate that one of the professional profiles with the most future, in the informatics area, are those that have capacities related to Information Systems and decision-making processes and techniques. Along these lines, the Master's Degree in Information Systems Engineering presents a novel mixture of Information Technology aimed at the construction, management, and organization of Information Systems, on the one hand, and Decision Making, on the other. In this way, the aim is to train superior quality professionals, capable of solving the decision problems of this new millennium and leading modern societies, which are very useful in many high-level companies.
Is this degree official according to the regulations required by the European Higher Education Area?
Students who have possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that empowers in the country issuing the degree for access to Master's degrees.
The recipients of this title
They will have demonstrated sufficient basic knowledge and understanding to develop and/or apply original ideas, either in the context of Research or in that of development, in the area of ​​Information systems
They will be able to direct, supervise, and actively participate in the process of building and managing information systems. From the moment of its conception to the moment it is put into production.
They will have sufficient skills to manage or optimize the operation of Information Systems already implemented.
Essentially, they will have the ability to integrate knowledge and deal with complexity and also to formulate judgments based on uncertain information through data analysis tools, but which includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge. and judgments reflected through socially responsible utility functions.
They will be able to communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and conceptual framework on which they are based, to both expert and non-expert audiences and in a clear and unambiguous manner.
They will have developed learning skills that allow them to continue their training in the area of ​​Information Systems and specifically in aspects related to their construction, through the management of leading publications in the field (paper and electronic)

The requirements for access to the proposed degree are according to article 16, Royal Decree 1393/2007, modified by Royal Decree 861/2010, of July 2:
To access the official Master's degrees, it will be necessary to hold an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution belonging to another State that is part of the European Higher Education Area that empowers there to access teachings of Master.
Likewise, graduates in accordance with educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area will be able to access without having their qualifications approved, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and empower in the country issuing the degree for access to postgraduate education. Access by this means will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous degree that the interested party is in possession, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of taking the Master's degrees.
Recommended access criteria for the title
To participate in the Master's, it will be necessary to be in possession of a Bachelor's degree or another expressly declared equivalent.
Graduates in accordance with foreign educational systems may take the Master's degree without the need for the homologation of their degrees, after checking that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding Spanish Bachelor's degrees and that they empower in the country issuing the degree for access to postgraduate studies.
For students with the title of Computer Engineer, Technical Engineer in Management Computer Science, or Technical Engineer in Computer Systems, the preferred admission criteria will be an academic record and work experience.
For students from other undergraduate degrees, the admission criteria, in addition to the above, will include the affinity of the study plans of the universities of origin and letters of recommendation from the academic or professional field, which will be evaluated by the Admission Commission.

Foreign students who wish to apply for prior admission to the Master must submit the same university pre-registration form that you will find at www.urjc.es, within the same deadlines established for the rest of the students.
