PresentationThe European and Spanish legislators have strengthened the standards for the protection of personal data in recent years, turning European regulations into a model to be followed by those countries and organizations that seek to grant the highest legal guarantees to the holders of personal data that are subject to treatment.
In accordance with the contents and teaching load provided for in the program included in the AEPD scheme, this title provides the necessary training to know the regulations and international, supranational and national jurisprudence on the protection of personal data, its foundations and principles , the rights of data subjects, control authorities and the role played in public institutions and companies by the data protection officer (DPD / DPO).
It also includes the study of data processing in the health field, labor relations, insurance, video surveillance (drones), financial solvency, advertising and minors.
It also offers knowledge of data protection impact assessment techniques (DPIA), cybersecurity, and the principles of privacy by design and by default.
Through the Diploma of Specialization, training is acquired to carry out the implementation of a data protection program in an organization, carry out a data protection audit report and manage data security. In addition, the study addresses knowledge about Cloud Computing, smartphones, internet of things (IoT), profiling through Big Data, social networks, user tracking technologies and Blockchain, among others.

Access RequirementsBe in possession of a Bachelor's degree in any degree related to data protection of a general or specific nature.
Accredit professional experience in the processing of personal data or the performance of work activity that involves processing of personal data in any sector, public or private.Admission Criteria
In addition to meeting the general and specific access requirements set forth in the previous section, in application of art. 15.4 of the Regulations for Postgraduate Education and Continuing Education of the International University of Andalusia, the Academic Commission will request authorization to accept conditional enrollment from students who request it in relation to the Diploma on Data Protection in the Digital Society.Academic programThe Diploma has a total of 30 ECTS, which are distributed in the following Modules:Module 1. Data protection at the international, supranational and national level. General and sectoral regulations (16 ECTS).
Module 2. Active responsibility in the protection of personal data (7 ECTS)
Module 3. Active responsibility and techniques to guarantee compliance with Data Protection regulations (4 ECTS)
Final Project (3 ECTS)
