CMI Certificate in First Line Management (Distance Learning)
The Level 3 qualifications in First Line Management have been developed for Junior Managers, Supervisors and First Line Managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity and who wish to build on and develop their existing management skills and knowledge. This can be people at work or not working.
This qualification gives Junior Managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency. A more extensive qualification, our Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management gives you a broader knowledge of effective management skills while focusing on the specific management areas appropriate to you and your workplace.
What will I learn?
The Certificate provides a broader knowledge of skills to help you be more effective in specific management areas, with an increased focus on the areas that are most appropriate to you and your workplace. You will learn about:
- Personal development as a first line manager
- Improving team performance
This qualification consists of 2 units each with an assessment marked by a tutor.
Learners need to complete 2 units totaling 13 credits. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 130 hours, including 40 Guided Learning Hours. Each learner will be allocated a tutor and a 12-week learning plan to work on. Tutor contact will be by email, telephone or face to face as required (By appointment). You will be provided with textbooks and access to the college inline platform as well as to CMI ‘Management Direct’.

Entry requirements (minimum)
No formal entry requirements however you should have a good level of English and basic ICT skills for the course
